Vermont Updates its Criteria and Procedures for Certificates of Authority

On June 20, 2022, the Vermont Department of Financial Regulations posted its revised Bulletin 43 regarding the criteria for company authorization and application procedures for companies seeking authority to transact business within the state.

According to the revised Bulletin, applicants must submit a complete National Association of Insurance Commissioner’s Uniform Certificate of Authority Application (UCAA) and address the Vermont specific requirements and information requested in Part B of the Bulletin. The Department may also request additional information if deemed necessary to evaluate an application for admission.
