Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) Issues Bulletin 2021-10 Hurricane Ida Claims Data Call

 

On November 19, 2021, the Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) issued Bulletin 2021-10, DATA CALL RELATING TO HURRICANE IDA INSURANCE CLAIMS. The LDI is requiring all authorized property and casualty insurers, including insurers that write private and/or excess flood insurance coverage and surplus lines insurers to complete the claims reporting Excel spreadsheet. A copy of the data call spreadsheet template can be downloaded from LDl 's website at https://www.ldi.la.gov/HurricaneldaDataCall.

The first report for cumulative catastrophe claims data reported as of December 31, 2021 is due on January 7, 2022; the second report for cumulative catastrophe claims data reported as of March 31, 2022 is due on April 8, 2022; the third report for cumulative catastrophe claims data reported as of June 30, 2022 is due on July 8, 2022; and the fourth report for cumulative catastrophe claims data reported as of September 30, 2022 is due on October 7, 2022.

Insurers with no initial claims should only file one report indicating the absence of claims.
