Florida Requires Weekly Hurricane Ian Catastrophe Reporting Through November

On October 31, 2022, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) issued its fifth notice to the industry regarding its data call related to Hurricane Ian catastrophe claims.

The OIR has transitioned its daily data call to weekly simplified catastrophe reporting through the month of November. The weekly reporting deadlines are as follows:

  • Wednesday, November 2, 2022
  • Wednesday, November 9, 2022
  • Wednesday, November 16, 2022
  • Wednesday, November 23, 2022
  • Wednesday, November 30, 2022

Data must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. ET for each reporting deadline. Insurers are to report Hurricane Ian claims data using the 2022 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF) through the Insurance Regulation Filing System (IRFS).
